Cabin Description: Alpine Meadows, located at the top of a spectacular mountain ridge, is at the end of its own private road on 125 private acres. As you come up through the trees, you drive out to a big, open sky and almost 360 degrees of breathtaking view. From the porch, look east across the valley to Massanutten Mountain and to the south is valley as far as the eye can see. Looking west there are mountains that continue all the way to West Virginia. Spectacular sunsets, rolling meadows, morning mists and abundant wildlife combine to make a stay at Alpine Meadows a joyful and memorable experience. As you enter the new log home the first thing you will notice is the clean, fresh scent of pine paneling. Three bedrooms, two with queen beds and the third with two twins, three baths and a large great room, accented by a raised hearth and modern catalytic wood stove provide ample space for a quiet, romantic retreat or a family getaway. The large, new eat-in kitchen is a natural gathering place to share conversations and meals. In every room, windows have been designed to provide excellent views of the mountains and valleys. Enjoy the herb and flower gardens, pick a bouquet of wild flowers, an apple fresh from the tree, or black berries for a pie. Spread a blanket for an outside picnic and watch the ever-changing clouds as they float serenely across the mountains. Four seasons of sports and activities are close with Bryce Resort about 5 miles to the West and Massanutten Resort about a 30 mile drive. The North Fork of the Shenandoah River offers canoeing, tubing, kayaking and fishing. Horseback riding, golf, sightseeing, antiquing, caverns and vineyards are nearby. Back at the cabin, there are board games, puzzles, books and in the basement, a Pool Table and a Ping Pong table - for the young at heart on rainy days.
